Construction is moving along. Roads leading up to Astra at La Madre Peaks are now paved. The guard gate is now open and traffic is now restricted into Astra Summerlin.
According to Howard Hughes Corporation that owns Astra Summerlin, there will be several phases on lot releases. I have found at least 3 different phases of lots and 2 phases are under construction with one of the phases ready to build on. There will be at least 167 lots for sale once all of Astra Summerlin has been built out and ready for buyers to build their new homes.
In my latest video below, I show you current footage of Astra Summerlin, the road leading up there as well as the possible views some lots may have of the Las Vegas Valley. *Lot views are not guaranteed but at least in the drone footage you can see how the lots face and their location within Astra Summerlin.
Is Astra Summerlin a new "Billionaires Row" in Las Vegas? I explore this idea based on current sales in The Summit Club Summerlin and The Ridges Summerlin. Home prices in these 2 communities have seen recent sales over 14 million dollars. With Astra lots ranging in price from 2.6 million to over 5.9 million, that becomes a valid question. Most custom homes will have construction costs of $500.00 to $650.00 per square foot so when you add the lot costs and construction costs, you are looking at homes that can easily have a 6 million dollar budget or more based on that buyers needs and wants for a custom home.

Amaya Summerlin was the original project name and the Review-Journal has confirmed with Howard Hughes that the new name is Astra at La Madre Peaks. There are several planning commission meetings that have allowed street name changes to reflect this possible change. Amaya Canyon is now known as Astra Canyon. I will keep you updated on any new information I can get my hands on. A reservation deposit will be required for bids/sales on the lots at Astra Summerlin at La Madre Peaks. A proof of funds letter will be required as well as a Buyers Brokerage Representation Agreement will need to be signed in order to start the purchase process.

Astra at La Madre Peaks will also be within walking distance of the Summerlin Grand Park as well as the Summerlin West Urban Core project that is still being developed.
This will be a gated community with 44 lots in the first phase of construction and the new second phase that will see 39 new custom home lots available in the near future.
Astra Summerlin will also have a private access street from Lake Mead Blvd into the community.
