The old Bear’s Best Summerlin Clubhouse
Bear’s Best / Amara Golf Club Community Summerlin Construction-Bear’s Best Summerlin also known now as Amara Golf Club golf course was purchased awhile back and is now being transformed into a private golf course, clubhouse and luxury villa community. The old clubhouse will be demolished and a brand new 58,430 square foot clubhouse with 3 stories and a basement will be built in place of the old club house. This new club house will be amazing. There will be a restaurant with a terrace, a gym, locker rooms, yoga terrace, cardio section, several golf simulators, tennis courts, 2 pools and much more. This is a $300 million dollar project that will transform Bear’s Best into an amazing new Summerlin luxury community.
The new community name will possibly be called “Amara Golf Club at The Ridges.” There have been several reports of this name change on the internet as well as a coming soon web site: https://amaralv.com/ There is not that much information out there right now about the name change to Amara from Bear’s Best. The plans I have seen still call the project Bear’s Best.

There will also be a subterrain garage with 44,880 square feet of under ground parking for club members. The main clubhouse will also feature a marketplace but I do not know what they consider that marketplace to be or what it will have inside of it. This should be an amazing club to join with all of the amenities that it will offer it’s members.

The unreleased plans of the community, the golf course and the clubhouse look amazing. This project will be a great addition to the Summerlin Luxury Home Communities and will give people another choice in the Summerlin luxury home market. The Summerlin Luxury market is still showing signs of limited homes available on the market. Demand has remained steady from out of state buyers looking to leverage their buying power in the Las Vegas Valley compared to other more expensive housing markets such as Los Angles, California and the bay area in Northern California. The golf course will be 18 holes, updated from what it was. No practice Tee’s are being proposed for the course. From what I have seen in the plans, it will be an amazing course with plenty of updated landscaping features.
Next up housing- 15 villa style homes will have modern design elements with 3 models and 4 elevations per model to choose from. Most of the villas will be close to the clubhouse and the amenities.
3 model homes to choose from with 4,350 square feet, 5,290 square feet and 6,080 square feet.
The 2 story villas will be situated on lot sizes from 11,300 square feet up to 24,520 square feet. Garage sizes will feature 680 square feet up to 900 square feet. There will also be several new gated areas within the community that are separate from The Ridges subdivisions that are already built out. Most of these new homes will be along the 18th hole of the golf course.

There is currently no time frame to start selling these villas and there is no pricing available. An internet search did reveal a possible December 2027 date for completion of these 15 villas but I have not confirmed that time frame. As for pricing of these villas, based on what I have seen these villas will be very exclusive and it would not surprise me that we see multi-million dollar price tags on these villas.
In closing, this brand new exclusive community will change The Ridges area for the better and you more than likely will see an increase in home prices in The Ridges Summerlin.
